Art is something that defines my life on a daily basis. There are times when I go to exhibits or see something out in the streets and it feels like I just drank a glass of ice cold water in a desert. For no other reason than to share, check these two videos on two amazing artist. The one on top is of El Mac and his time in Vietnam in 2010. I had the pleasure to meet him at Self Help Graphics in 2010 when he came in to sign a print he finished there. One of the best experiences in my life to be able to just sit there and have the most casual conversation. The second video is of french artist JR who does these AMAZING portraits of folks in extreme close ups of their wrinkles. His works are all over Los Angeles and this video gives some of the background on the faces folks see out on the street.
